I love cuisines where the spices and aromatics meld into a warm, savory flavor profile, and the textures are just perfect from the combined ingredients. That’s one reason why I’ve become a big fan of recipes styled from African roots.
Last week I made Ethiopian-styled lentils and forgot to get pics. This week, I did not forget when making Moroccan-styled lentils with sweet potatoes, served as a side (or entree) to lamb burgers with harissa dressing!
The picture does not do justice to the aromas that filled my house, the textural and taste sensations that lit up my mouth. The big plus, both were a hit with the family (the burgers were a new addition, the lentils had been made before).
